  Why Merino Wool Changes Everything

Merino wool is no ordinary material. It's the preferred natural fiber for women who want true comfort, not artificial comfort. Soft, breathable, and thermoregulating, it keeps you warm when it's cold and comfortable when the temperature rises.

This Luxibre sleeveless turtleneck sweater combines the exceptional qualities of merino wool with a cut designed for modern layering. The result: a piece that can be worn alone or layered, from morning to night, without ever being too hot or too cold.

Merino wool is naturally antibacterial — it stays fresh and doesn't retain odors, even when worn all day.

The 5 advantages of merino wool

Property

What this changes for you

Natural thermoregulation

Warm in winter, cool in the mid-seasons — wool adapts to your temperature

Exceptional softness

Unlike regular wool, merino wool doesn't itch, even on bare skin.

Natural antibacterial

The fibers don't retain odors — you can wear it several times before washing.

Breathable

The moisture evaporates naturally — no feeling of dampness

Resistant & durable

Merino fiber retains its shape and appearance wash after wash

  Sweater features

A fine, structured turtleneck in soft, supple merino wool that's comfortable all day long. The sleeveless design allows for easy layering with any long-sleeved garment. The length can be tucked in or out depending on the desired look. The fine knit has a slight stretch that hugs the figure without constricting it. Available in four timeless, natural colors.

  Material & Care

Composition: Merino wool. Fine knit, exceptionally soft to the touch thanks to the fine fibers characteristic of merino. The fiber is naturally elastic and perfectly retains its shape after each wear.

Washing instructions: Merino wool is delicate — hand wash or use a wool cycle at a maximum of 30°C, with a special wool detergent. Always dry flat, never hang. Never wring vigorously. Do not tumble dry. Iron on a low setting with steam if necessary.

  Size Guide

Available in sizes M, L, XL, and XXL. The cut is slightly fitted—it hugs the figure without being tight. Merino wool has a slight natural elasticity that adapts to the body's shape.

  The 4 Colors

Beige — The neutral and luminous shade that highlights the natural texture of merino wool. Goes with absolutely everything — jeans, black trousers, skirts of all colors.

White — Pure and modern, white merino wool has a slightly warm and natural feel, very different from polyester white. Perfect for layering under a camel blazer or a grey coat.

Brown — A deep, warm color that enhances the natural texture of merino wool. Pair it with beige, cream, or black for a sophisticated, autumnal look.

Black — The essential color that works with everything. In merino wool, black has a more matte and luxurious finish than in polyester — it's a real, visible difference.

Luxibre tip: beige merino wool is our absolute favorite — the natural texture of the fiber stands out beautifully in this shade. It's the piece that gets the most compliments.

  How to wear it?

Luxibre's signature layering: beige merino sweater over the white square-neck bodysuit + slim jeans + leather ankle boots. The turtleneck of the sweater and the square neck of the bodysuit create a very elegant interplay of textures and shapes.

Chic office look: black merino sweater over a white shirt with visible sleeves + beige cigarette pants + heeled loafers. The merino wool gives the look instant sophistication.

Nature weekend look: brown merino sweater over a long-sleeved white t-shirt + raw denim jeans + boots + camel oversized coat.

Minimalist luxury look: a white merino sweater tucked into a black satin midi skirt + ballet flats + delicate gold earrings.

The secret to layering with merino: always let the sleeves of the base layer show — this reveals the layering and gives the impression of a constructed and intentional look.

To be combined with other Luxibre pieces

Luxibre Square Neck Bodysuit (€24.90) — The perfect combination. The bodysuit underneath with its long sleeves peeking out, the merino sweater on top. This is the layering duo that Luxibre designed to work together.

Sweater + Bodysuit Pack (€42.90) — This sweater is part of the Luxibre pack along with the Square Neck Bodysuit. If you want both, the pack saves you €19.90 compared to buying them separately.

  Frequently Asked Questions

Does merino wool make you itch?

No — that's precisely what distinguishes merino from regular wool. The fibers are very fine and soft, comfortable even directly against bare skin, including for sensitive skin.

Can it be machine washed?

Yes, provided you use the wool program at a maximum of 30°C with a special wool detergent. Hand washing remains the safest option. In all cases, flat drying is mandatory.

Does merino wool shrink?

It may shrink slightly if washed at too high a temperature or spun too vigorously. By following the care instructions (30°C, dry flat), it will retain its dimensions perfectly.

Can it be worn directly on the skin?

Yes — the fineness of merino fibers makes it pleasant even when worn directly on bare skin, which classic wool generally does not allow.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin or skin allergic to wool?

People sensitive to regular wool often tolerate merino wool very well thanks to its fine fibers. However, if you have a confirmed wool allergy, please contact us before ordering.

Can it be worn outside of winter?

Absolutely—that's one of merino wool's great advantages. Its thermoregulatory properties make it pleasant from spring to autumn. In summer it's a bit warm, but perfect for cool evenings.
